The Kent countryside is just stunning, and all you have to do to access the famous vineyards views is hopping on a train to Sevenoaks.
This ride starts at the station car park and within less than 10 minutes youâre already cycling in the lanes. Steep and narrow stretches of roads alternate with open fields views and some quaint villages.
After 45 kms, you can stop at The Velo Barn. The perfect place for chilling in the sunshine, eating carrot cake and drink a flat white whilst your bike is safe on the rack next to you. Remember to check opening times ahead of the ride as they close quite early in the afternoon.
By that point you would have done most of the climbing and only a few hundred meters of elevation are left for your legs. For that second part of the route, we got treated with some beautiful golden light and deers crossing the fields in the late afternoon: another amazing day on the saddle!
Enjoy the ride!
